Climb up to Heavenly Jerusalem.

In the hills of the Czech Karst Charles IV built a dignified place to store the Imperial Crown Jewels. In addition, he wished to highlight spiritual virtues. The Imperial Regalia were taken away by Charles’s son Sigismund, to keep them safe from the Hussite troops. But holy relics have remained – so you can pay your respects even today. Take a walk through the rooms where Charles IV used to live and work, where he would meet esteemed guests and lower your voices in chapels where he prayed. The Chapel of St. Catherine has been preserved almost intact. The most important part of the tour is the ascent to the Chapel of the Holy Cross, where the Imperial Regalia used to be kept. It represents the New Jerusalem from the Apocalypse. Walls garnished with precious stones, panel paintings and numerous relics will undoubtedly take you to a different dimension.
